"When I first started to lose my hair, it was very painful. Within a couple of years, most of the hair had fallen off the top of my head. Wearing my hat made it a little more comfortable, not seeing myself going bald. I knew somthing had to be done so I tried treatments for 6 months, but my condition didn't change. I then went to Alexis and neverlooked back......"

Can you see or feel the Non-Surgical Single Strand Hair Insertion System?
Because the hair system is transparent it is not visible. When the hair is parted all you will see is skin. Similar to a contact lens your eye is what is seen, not the lens. If you run your fingers through, all you feel is hair.

How much hair can I expect from a hair replacement system?
You can expect to achieve the amount of hair you desire. For instance, if your existing hair is of thick density then you can expect the system to look the same. However, if you prefer less density, we can do that, too.

How long does the Non-Surgical Single Strand Hair Insertion Systems last?

  3. The type of base used to make the hair system. The thinner bases need to be replaced more frequently.

  4. The average is between 4 months to 1 year.

Do Transplants give you a full head of hair?
No. Transplants do not make new hair. It is a procedure of moving hair from the back of the head to an area that needs hair. For example, if you originally had 150 000 hairs and over time you lost half your hair 75 000, it would be impossible to move the 75 000 hairs to the area that needed it because then you would have no hair in the back of your head. For this reason, transplants can restore a small area to its original density, or disperse the donor hair over the top of the head to give you a thin look.

          Will I feel pain?
Our doctor devotes great detail to anesthetizing the donor and recipient areas and virtually no discomfort is experienced. You can choose to take a nap or watch a movie. After the hair transplant surgery is completed you may or may not need pain relief pills over the couple of days.

How long does the surgical procedure take?
A typical procedure takes 3-7 hours depending on the session size.

Will I need to take time off?
It depends on you and how sensitive you are about how you look and feel after the surgery. Although it is not necessary and some clients are back to work the next day. We recommend going on holidays immediately following the surgery.

How long will it take for the hair to begin growing?
You will start to see results in 10-12 weeks after the procedure. A hair transplant is generally grown in at 10 months.
